IDRAC – out of bounds. No HDDs or virtual disks displayed.

The Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller is a great tool. Love that I’m able to see the VGA out signal without having a monitor connected. Makes the server a dream to work with. I’ve had this server switched on for years now, running ESXI, it never needs a restart or a sign in to IDRAC for that matter, but I did so today to check something.
In the storage section we get this message:
"RAC0501: There are no physical disks to be displayed.
1. Check if the host system is powered off or shutdown.
2. Check if the physical disks are inserted into the enclosure or attached to the backplane.
3. There are no out-of-band capable controllers detected."
There’s various advice on forums, the most common is to reset IDRAC altogether in Server | Troubleshooting | Diagnostics (see below)

waiting a few minutes and signing back in. Turns out my HDDs weren’t toast after all.
